About This Campsite

Pillsbury Island Campsite is a very nice campsite that is protected from the prevailing northwest wind. The sites are surrounded by broad leaf trees, which offer shade in the summer. The middle site offers a wonderful view of Woodman Cove.

This site marks the northern terminus of Thoreau's trip in 1857.
